ABOUT THE APRC

THE ANGLOPHONE RECORDING COMPANY (APRC) WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2007 BY TREVOR MOSS & HANNAH-LOU AS A FIELD RECORDING COMPANY CAPTURING LIVE PERFORMANCES FROM THEIR FOLK CLUB STAGE AT THE BETSEY TROTWOOD, LONDON, FOR BROADCAST ON THEIR RADIO SHOW. THE APRC SOON BECAME THE MONIKER FOR THE VARIED PRODUCTION INTERESTS OF TREVOR MOSS & HANNAH-LOU.

TREVOR STUDIED FINE ART AT GOLDSMITHS COLLEGE, LONDON, AND HAS MAINTAINED AN INTEREST IN VISUAL ART, FILMMAKING AND PHOTOGRAPHY SINCE GRADUATING IN 2006. WHILST SIGNED TO VARIOUS RECORD LABELS AS A RECORDING ARTIST HE FOUND HIMSELF REGULARLY STEPPING INTO AN ARTWOK ROLE. INITIALLY PRODUCING THE PAIR'S OWN ARTWORK MATERIAL BEFORE GOING ON TO SERVE OTHER ARTISTS ON THE ROSTERS.

HAVING LICENSED RECORDINGS TO LABELS AND PRODUCED ARTWORK FOR A VARIETY OF ARTISTS, THE APRC HAD IT'S FIRST OWN RELEASE IN 2012, WITH TM&HL'S 'LA FERME DE FONTENAILLE' A METHOD STATEMENT OF THE APRC'S APPROACH. RECORDED ON A TASCAM 4-TRACK CASSETTE MACHINE IN A BARN IN THE PAYS DE LA LOIRE, DOCUMENTED ON Hi8 TAPE, SELF-DISTRIBUTED VIA A SELF-MADE NETWORK OF INDEPENDENT RECORD STORES, PITCHED TO PRESS AND RADIO PERSONALLY, AND SOLD ONLINE EXCLUSIVELY FROM THE APRC STORE, HAND-PACKAGED AND STAMPED, THE APRC RECEIVED WIDE ACCLAIM FOR BOTH THE ALBUM AND THEIR UNIQUE APPROACH.

THE APRC IS A FULLY IN-HOUSE RECORDING COMPANY IN THE OLD-FASHIONED SENSE. WITH A STRONG IDENTITY, METHOD AND AESTHETIC, THAT BELIEVES IN RIGOUR WITH A PERSONAL TOUCH.
